Playing DVD roms?

i asked this give somebody the third degree earlier but i didn't fully get the message it. Im going to buy a program that needs DVD-ROM competency someone who bought it said tthat not all DVD drives can play DVD-ROMS i hold a DVD-R/RW. Another person who have the disk also said that they couldn't get it to work on at hand DVD-RW because it wasn't able to play DVD-ROMS does anyone know if i will know how to play it

DVD-ROM is the long version of DVD-R. ROM mechanism Read Only Memory. DVD-R's can be read by any DVD-RW unless the codex is not compatible.

Usually you can download updates of Codex from the DVD-RW company to allow for newer Codex.



Sign on at your Computer Manufacturers website and check for update routinely. Often they include codex upgrades in their update or upgrade support packages of software too.
