Unexpected, Weird, Yet Awesome!!!?

I reinstalled plentiful software that came pre-installed into my computer and I surprisingly gain like 3gigs of memory. Has this happen to anybody? Or is this some type of virus tricking me into thinking that im gaining space but all the same im losing space? Any comments please post!

Unexpected, Weird, Yet Awesome!!!?

Sounds like you simply re-did your system, if you had to reinstall everything? Most approaching what has happen, (depending on the PC manufacturer), is you deleted the repossession partition.

Some companies install a 'recovery' sector, that act like a system rescue of sorts. When troubleshooting, if adjectives else fails, they use that wall to restore your system to the state it was surrounded by when they sold it to you.

Other than that, possibly you just didn't install everything that be on it before.

Cheers
Some things that come pre-installed also include information and stuff from the original manufactor, if you don't recover any programs from rear up disks, you generally gain space because the crap from the businessman isn't there.
no usually theres some extra crap on your harddrive when you buy a computer that take up several gigs. could be anything from free trials to god-knows-what .you canf ree as much as 5 gigs that. way. sweet huh.
It happen to me too but there be no virus what a koinky dink ha ha ha
Some of those programs are probably older version so there could be smaller number data stored for them because of that. I other find that all the added on unwanted items is useless and makes conflict between different programs installed.
Did you imply uninstalled, not reinstalled?
