when i hold a CD or DVD surrounded by my drive and it is being ripped or other travels the sound from my computer is severely choppy. Is there a path i can fix this.

Yes, set your UDMA on in your IDE piece under Control Panel / System / Hardware devices
You may be ripping at too high-ranking of speed or your hard drive is prehistoric and your plates have ridges. As long as the cd/dvd you ripped comes out fine, I would articulate do not worry roughly speaking it. Your computer may just be getting elder.
