Unable to detect harddisk barrier?

I own a harddisk which was partitioned into C and D. So I will own 2 drives to use. But recently my drive D only disappeared. Restarting the PC didn't help. What can I do to return with the drive D up again? Any software or utilities to use? Any way to confirm whether the drive D is ok or not? Please relieve. Thanks.

Unable to detect harddisk barrier?

I'm sorry but probably the file sytem (NTFS or FAT32) have been destroyed on drive D:. So you enjoy to re partition it using control panel> admin tools> computer management> storage> disk admin menu and hope it works. Then you'll need special information recovery software to obtain all the facts back on your D: drive
click on start > control panel > administrative tools > computer guidance > disk management

In the right panel on the peak you will se a graphics of your hard disk. right click on the wall to view a enumerate of commands you can operate on that separator.
