Question in the order of computer memory leak.?

My friend said I might own a memory leak. When I progress to task commissioner at any given time it is using between 500 and 700 MB of RAM and I have 1GB installed surrounded by my computer. Also, what could be causing it and what can I do to stop it?

Question in the order of computer memory leak.?

memory leak are very extraordinary now days... assuming you're using Windows XP or Vista. Some browsers (like Firefox) will other use alot of memory... File sharing programs use alot of memory... and if you don't have anti-spyware software installed on your computer, that could be your problem. But here is my standard rule about memory usage... if your computer seem to be performing fine (not unusually slow or strange) then don't verbs about it.
the tast director may just be using allocated RAM and/or page database usage.
And To make more RAM available at startup,

You can do Start, later RUN, then type

msconfig

Then uncheck items contained by the Startup tab.

To find out what each Startup(or Process) item

does or ability, and any recommendation as to if you should close the process:
