runDLL Sytem32\drvcap.dll The specified module could not be found...have anyone run across this error in XP Home?? The computer will boot but afterwards all the icon disappear leaving with the sole purpose the background. -Thanks!!

Google the exact error message, the one you posted is not correct. Microsoft.com usually have patches that fix rundll errors.
obtain into the recovery, and run it, f1 or f8 cant remember, at start up
Run a SFC (System File Checker). You can run it surrounded by Safe Mode if you prefer.



To run this go to:



- Start

- Run

- Type within sfc /scannow (include the space before the / )



It may prompt you for the operating system installation disk. If to be exact the case, later you know that you definitely hold file corruption or something missing. Insert the disk if prompted.



Don't surf or run anything while SFC runs. After it is completed, reboot your computer.
