PC wont start - Please Help!?

When i turn on my PC, the first page comes up next to information on my graphics card, then the subsequent page says Fujitsu Siemens Computers - Press delete to run setup. But it stops on this page.



I've inserted my retrieval cd, but it wont go as far as that to re-install window. If i press delete to run setup a different page loads, but it doesn't go anywhere from in that. Im thinking this is probably a Hard-drive problem, but do any of you know what it is for sure or any suggestions?

1.As soon as you start Press push button F8. select safe mode .

or

2. Insert XP compact disc and when message comes boot from CD enter

select repair alternative.
sounds like the computer does not see the unyielding drive, could be the HD or the MOBO replace the HD first with any one that works and draw from a win boot disk to see the HD if that goes ok next you know the HD was bleak replace it and reload win, if not consequently your MOBO may be the problem, can take out the freestyle for a minute to clear cmos and try again

I assume that someone installed a virus on your computor.
