If PC stands for personal computer, why don't those call Apple PC, but instead they christen it Apple and windows PC?
Pc and Apple?
While both Macintosh and Windows-based computers are 'Personal Computers', adjectives Windows computers are clones of the once insanely popular IBM Personal Computer, or IBM PC. In the early 80's, clone manufacturer advertised this reality by stating their computer was 'IBM PC compatible' - which eventually become PC compatible.
IBM soon lost ground - and eventually left - the flea market they had created; so PC referred to adjectives computers running a Microsoft operating system and an Intel x86 microprocessor.
Eventually, Apple moved the Macintosh line to the x86 microprocessor, departing little hardware differences between a Mac and a 'PC', modern Macs can even run Microsoft Windows.
Most people associate a PC near the term PC clone. Most clones are clones of the IBM/Intel processor. Apple uses a Motorola processor and it is imaginative. So an Apple is usually referred to as Apple. Commodore 64 and 128 are just call Commodore
