after removing as abundant files as i can i still only enjoy 8 per cent disk space i need 15 per cent to defragment. i hold a lot of space on vaio d, so do i only use d , but when i try and download music it says i can not down nouns as i do not have satisfactory room on c. grrrrrr chris

I don't know why people close to whinne answer questions close to this without reading them. If he have a lot of space on Vaio D: later it means he's get 2 partitions and does not inevitability a new complex drive. What you need to do is uninstall some of your programs and reinstall them into D:\Program Files. Uninstall and reinstall your Music Downloading program and install it to D:\Program Files. Then when you communicate it where to download files to sort a new folder on D: such as My Music and recover there. You can also Transfer adjectives of your music files from your music folder on C: to a new one on D: Good Luck HTH.

Clean up temp files & temp interenet files.
Empty the recycle-bin. Then run Defrag again.
See if it help.
Download CCleaner and run a scan. It will find more files that can be safely removed.
The folder Temporary Internet Files can hold up a lot of space so agree to CCleaner remove as much as possible before you subsequent attempt a defrag.
Get in touch near SONY see if they can advise you what you should do, or download another defragmentation program
If you're using add/remove, you're removing programs. You probably hold a load of rubbishy files that you've created, or adjectives your temporary internet stuff that get put on whenever you go on the internet. Sort that out. If not install extra hard drive or in recent times save to external drive, even memory sticks.
