Alright, I made a ask like this formerly.
I got this error message, and put within the Windows Xp Home Edition CD I found lying around my desk. I put it surrounded by to reinstall the PC, since its all messed up from the Error message.
Luckilly, I reinstalled it. But...
Now, it say Put it in the Product Key. Which I do, The Product Key is on the compact disc Folder, in big words. I type it contained by. Then it says: ERROR: THe product knob is not valid
Tpyed it in so abundant times... Can a used CD Key work? Then, I have need of to use someone elses... Somehow.
By the way. I'm using the laptop, but the laptop isn't broken. MY COMPUTER is. Not the laptop MY desktop. My regular, ol' desktop.
Need more PC Help. Please?
Sounds close to the folder and the CD do not meeting. As before mentioned, you have need of to look for the sticker on your PC case and use that product code.
the cd push button for your desktop should be on a sticker either on the side or put a bet on of the case.
Sounds purely like my xp. When you format 25 times or more and put winxp on 25 times or more, you can no longer start your windows. Bill Gates requirements you to buy a new WinXp cd. Otherwise your prehistoric winxp cd is considered Pirated. What you do is, don't let your computer update. And you enjoy to format every 30 days. Then everything is peachy.
Microsoft says that the CDs are different. If it be the same model of computer it would be OK. or if you have an aftermarket CD near a different Product number that would work. Call Microsoft and explain your situation. If your lucky they will give you the right product knob to get yours going. If not you'll bring the you will have to purchase blues.
