Once a year XP home reboots but I can not find out why. Random time and no current downloads, how do I find motivation?

Right click My Computer,

Properties,

Advanced tab,

Settings button (Starup and Recovery),

uncheck Automatically Restart.



Now you should go and get an error message when it happens again.

Also try right clicking my computer, clicking manage, next click event viewer. There may be an error event reported at the time the computer shut down. Chucks suggestion is righteous.
